For a small local Cyber Security firm based in the Netherlands, we are currently recruiting for a Senior and Medior Cyber Security Consultant. 

As a Security Consultant, you’ll be diving in to protect our clients from cyber threats, working side by side with colleagues to keep security incidents as low-impact as possible. At Samoerai, we use a unique and proven approach that helps clients meet security standards like ISO 27001, NEN 7510, BIO, and DigiD 2.0. You’ll lead projects with our streamlined six-step process to guide clients toward compliance with these frameworks. These projects are multidisciplinary, and you’ll often work with a team member to tackle them.

As a senior consultant, you’ll have access to our extensive knowledge base and tools, which means you can support clients without needing to reinvent the wheel. Plus, your teammates are eager to learn from you! You’ll help clients with risk assessments, governance descriptions, and business impact analyses. If you bring privacy and GDPR expertise or are interested in learning it, that’s a big plus—we aim to support clients across the full spectrum of security, compliance, and privacy.

In some cases, you’ll jump in as an interim consultant, handling various day-to-day security needs. Whether you’re managing security tasks or overseeing incident responses, you’ll ensure everything is handled efficiently. You’ll bring practical know-how and best practices, taking the lead to solve security issues and improve procedures, guidelines, and controls.

For other clients, you’ll run internal audits and perform security and compliance checks. Based on your findings, you’ll advise on the steps needed to reach compliance or lower risks to acceptable levels.

Your growth path can lead to a CISO role or other C-level security positions, and there’s also a chance to take on an external auditor role if that’s your goal.
